Northampton children have dressed up as some pretty cool characters today from famous, internationally known and well-loved books.

Today, for those who don't know, it's World Book Day, where every child in full-time education in the UK is given a £1 voucher to spend on books in a bid to get children into reading.

To celebrate the day, youngsters are also encouraged to dress-up as their favourite book characters.Some school children from Northampton are now barely recognisable as they get in

the spirit of the day.

So-far, we've seen Harry Potter, Captain Jack Sparrow, superheroes and some animal magic in a range of outstanding outfits from all of you.
