In Northampton, there is more than £70,000 of Clubcard points that are yet to be redeemed, according to Tesco.

The supermarket giant has revealed how much all the unused Clubcard points are worth in each area of the country, in a bid to remind customers to claim their rewards.

Coming in as the thirteenth highest in the UK, Northampton has a grand total of £79,000 of Clubcard points still to claim.

Some of these points could have been forgotten about for as long as two years.

Tesco says a lot of the points, which are worth triple their value when used in partnership with one of the 150 reward partners, need to be redeemed by February 29.

Tesco chief customer officer, Alessandra Bellini, said: “Clubcard is our way of helping customers to get the very best value when shopping with us and we want to help them make the most of it.

“We also understand that our customers lead busy lives and may forget about the points and vouchers that they’ve built up over time.

“With a large number set to expire at the end of the month we are encouraging people to check the Clubcard app to see if any of these unused vouchers are theirs.”
