Ribbon cut to officially open new housing development on Northampton outskirts

A new housing development on the outskirts of Northampton has been declared open - with £200 donated to a Scout group.

The ribbon was cut for Meadow View Fields in Moulton by Moulton Parish Council chairman David Aarons and Mulberry Homes managing director Ian Sadler.

Afterwards, the councillor was presented with the donation for the council’s nominated charity, 38th Moulton Scout Group, to be put towards a new roof for the group’s hut.

“It was a pleasure to cut the ribbon to this new part of our community here in Moulton and we are very grateful to Mulberry Homes for their kind donation towards our Scout group," he said.

"I hope this will be the beginning of a positive and productive relationship for all involved.”

Homes at Meadow View Fields are available from £274,950 for a three-bedroom home, with schemes such as Assisted Move, Help to Buy and Part Exchange available.

As is Mulberry Homes’ 'key workers scheme', which offers £500 for every £20,000 spent on one of its homes and is available to staff from the emergency services, schools, hospitals, doctors’ surgeries and the armed forces.

Before the ribbon-cutting, Ian gave David a tour of Meadow View Fields’ showhomes: the four-bedroom Sherbourne and the Pitsford.

Ian said: “We were delighted to welcome councillor Aarons to our Meadow View Fields development and to declare our homes here officially open.

"Moulton is a vibrant and collaborative community which we are committed to contributing to and enhancing, through our ongoing support for local businesses and charitable organisations, with financial contributions towards the local school and library as well as providing affordable homes for the local area.
