The owner of a full suitcase that was found standing by the road in a Northampton neighbourhood has been found.

The Chronicle & Echo shared a resident's appeal for help yesterday (January 29) after they found a suitcase filled with women's clothing and valuables waiting by side of the road in Hood Street, The Mounts.

The grey-blue wheeled suitcase was found by the resident as she came back from a run at around 8am, but had no clues to help her find its owner.

But now, the owner has been reunited with their luggage after they saw the Chron's appeal online and called the newsroom.

It is understood the owner misplaced the suitcase after getting out of a taxi. By the time they realised and went to look for it, it had already been found and taken inside by the runner.

The Chron was able to arrange for the runner and the suitcase's owner to contact each other.
