Northampton half marathon will take place in September.

Runners will start at the Guildhall and complete a tour of the town centre before returning to the Guildhall and heading out to the countryside towards junction 15 of the M1.

The race, which has a cut off three hours, will then finish near Delapre Abbey in Delapre country park.

Runners will receive a medal and a commemorative top as they cross the finish line.

The current male record for the race is one hour, 11 minutes and 23 seconds and the female record is one hour, 25 minutes and 22 seconds.

Entry to the race costs £32, except for affiliated runners who receive a discount of £2.

Runners can pay £35 to enter on the day, but there are only 2,000 spaces up for grabs so it is advisable to book in advance.

Charity entries are also available.
