Northampton in UK's top 20 places for graduate jobs finds study of opportunities available right now

Northampton is in the top 20 places in the country for graduate jobs, according to a study of opportunities available for university-leavers in the town right now.

There are currently 27 graduate jobs available in Northampton, the 20th-highest amount in the UK, employment search website Debut Careers found.

A University of Northampton (UoN) spokesperson said: "It's great to see Northampton feature in Debut UK's list of their top 20 locations for graduate jobs.

"At UoN, we pride ourselves in taking a super supportive approach to making sure our students are as well-equipped as possible to achieve their professional dreams.

"This includes developing and maintaining strong links with local employers, our 'changemaker hub' which helps students develop projects and voluntary initiatives that bolster their academic work and on-going support from our graduate school and alumni team."

There is a lot of uncertainty in the job market at the moment and it is a daunting time for students and graduates to be looking for a job.

But the number of jobs available are expected to grow even further, across all sectors, once graduate employers open up their roles for applications in September.
