Call for Northamptonshire business with spare masks, gowns or medical equipment to help local hospitals fight coronavirus

Northamptonshire Chamber has asked local businesses for urgent help to provide PPE and medical equipment for Northampton and Kettering General Hospitals on behalf of the NHS Team helping to coordinate the need for medical equipment and PPE in Northamptonshire.

While the usual NHS supply chains are stretched, health bosses are calling on help from the private sector which may have stocks of medical supplies that are desperately needed in local hospitals. While the NHS is happy to pay for supplies and services, donations are also greatly welcome.

The wish list includes

• FFP3 daily wear masks

• Disposable long sleeve gowns

• Disposable aprons

• Eye protection

• Surgical caps

• Medical scrubs for staff to wear under PPE

Medical Equipment

• Medical couches

• Thermometers

• Oxygen SATS monitors

• Disposable stethoscopes

Portacabins

• 8 small

• 4 large with capacity for couch assessment

• Porta-loos x 6 with handwashing facility

Office Equipment

• Desks

• Chairs

• Mobile phone

Security

• Security fencing (c.400m)
