11 local businesses announced for next month’s Love Northampton Food Fair

Whittlebury Bakery, Phipps Brewery and more will be showcased at the fair.

A number of local businesses that will be taking part in a Northampton food festival have been announced.

The Love Northampton Food Fair will return to the town next month and more than 20 businesses have signed up to attend.

There will be a wide range of local produce on offer at the fair on Saturday February 29 including vegan burgers, chocolate, smoked cheeses, chutneys, sauces, fudge, cakes, honey, wine, cider and gin.

Some of the businesses that are taking part in the fair that will be held in The Guildhall have already been announced.

The 11 businesses that we know will be taking part

- The Good Loaf

- Fruitful Abundance

- Well Roasted Coffee

- Little Smoke House

- Hustle Gin

- Whittlebury Bakery

- Fleur Fields Vineyard

- Wah Gwaan Jamaican Chicken

- Phipps Brewery

- Dutch Delights

- Friars Farm

The food stalls will be found in the Great Hall and in the Courtroom.

A jazz band called Syncopated Jazz will also be playing outside The Guildhall.

Looking Glass Theatre will also be hosting a ‘Northamptonshire’s Food Quest Mystery Tour’, which will include a treasure hunt.

Leader of Northampton Borough Council, Cllr Jonathan Nunn, said: “We are looking forward to welcoming businesses and customers alike to the beautiful surroundings of The Guildhall for the Love Northampton Food Fair.

“The event provides a great opportunity to promote local producers and supports a wide range of wonderful independent businesses.

“Attendance is free to both traders and the public making it a really popular addition to our annual events calendar.”

Tickets to the Northamptonshire’s Food Quest Mystery Tour, which starts at midday, can be purchased here.The rest of the fair is free and will be open from 10.30am until 3pm.
