Callie, a female English bull terrier, was stolen on the Lodge Farm industrial estate.

Her owner, Iesha Brown, said a witness had come forward to say they saw the dog being picked up by a couple in their 40s who drove away in a white van.

Iesha last saw her dog, who has a distinctive mark on her nose, between 6.45pm and 7pm on Monday before Callie ran out the house.

"We live in Ryehill and there's access to the industrial estate," said Iesha.

"Unfortunately she ran out and five minutes later we couldn't find her."

"I've been told there are two types of vans it could have been and that the people had acted as if she were their dog."

Callie escaped from her home when the door was opened, although her family were right behind her she appeared to vanish.

Though it's possible she could have been kept safe overnight, Callie has not yet been handed in.

The information has been reported to the Northamptonshire Police who will be able to check the CCTV.
