A notice has been served on Travellers who set up camp on land in Broughton.
Police said they have received a number of calls from people in the village near Kettering about the camp.
A number of caravans had been parked up on a piece of parkland since yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon.
But a spokesman for Northamptonshire County Council said a representative from the Countywide Traveller Unit had gone out to the site today (Wednesday) and 10 caravans had ‘either left or were in the process of leaving.’
They added that the land is owned by Kettering Council and a legal notice had been served for them to leave the site.
A police spokesman said they had received a number of calls on Tuesday about the camp.
They added that officers had been out to the site and had been working with the council to find a more appropriate place for them to move to.
