A Northamptonshire woman who battled an eating disorder has completed the latest leg of her journey to change her life.
Hannah Jelley completed the gruelling TrekFest endurance challenge in the Peak District in aid of the eating disorder charity Beat.
Beat is the UK’s eating disorder charity, with a vision to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders.
The 27-year-old has spent nearly two decades struggling with her weight and appearance from the age of seven - becoming a ‘fussy’ aa well as a secret eater.
Hannah said, “I’ve tried every diet going and have been a member of so many slimming clubs.
“Some people have smoking, drugs, alcohol addictions to help with their day-to-day life and stresses - mine is binge eating.
“Around two years ago I decided to refer myself to the eating disorder service in Northampton.”
Beat’s Community Fundraising Officer Emily Battersby-Case said: “Hannah’s determination in taking on this challenge is inspiring, and so important in raising awareness about all kinds of eating disorders and helping sufferers get support.”
