A road through a Northamptonshire village was closed for almost five hours after a car collided with a garden wall.

Sandy Lane in Church Brampton was closed just before 8am on Sunday, March 23 after a black Range Rover collided with a wall.

No other vehicles were involved in the collision and it is not yet clear why the driver apparently lost control of his car.

The road reopened just after 12.45pm and the driver was taken to University Hospital, Coventry, for treatment.

Witnesses, or anyone with any information about this incident, can call the police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
