Northamptonshire primary school teacher airlifted to hospital after fall

A Northamptonshire primary school teacher was airlifted to hospital after he fell over in the sports hall and knocked himself out.

The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) was called out to Middleton Cheney Primary Academy this morning at 10am after the 55-year-old man suffered a head injury.

The crew landed in the school’s playing field 13 minutes after receiving the 999 call.

No pupils were at the school as it was a teacher training day.

The crew assessed the teacher, who had lost consciousness in the fall, and gave him anti-sickness medication before airlifting him to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire.
