A woman is in a serious condition in hospital and a man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an alleged stabbing in Northamptonshire.
A 41-year-old woman from Rushden was airlifted to University Hospital in Coventry following an incident this morning (Thursday).
Officers are reassuring the local community and believe this to be an isolated incident
The incident is believed to have happened shortly before 8am on Coltsfoot Road, Rushden.
The woman remains in a serious condition.
A Northamptonshire Police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of attempt murder, and remains in police custody.
“Officers are reassuring the local community and believe this to be an isolated incident.”
