Northamptonshire family treated to white Christmas after finding shop's hidden snow globe

A Northamptonshire family had their home transformed into a winter wonderland for 48 hours with a special delivery of real snow.

One Northamptonshire family was treated to a winter wonderland, courtesy of TK Maxx.

Northampton shopper, Sara Pearson stumbled upon a snow globes hidden in TK Maxx Luton. The two-foot globe 'unlocked' a Christmas gift for the lowest possible price - as seen in TK Maxx’s Christmas TV advert – an actual White Christmas.

Having found the snow globe, Sara Pearson gifted Louise Harvey, who received a visit from snow experts last weekend, who transformed her home with equipment usually used in the film industry, covering her garden in eight cubic metres of real snow.

Louise Harvey of Overstone said: “It was amazing for the kids to have this experience, for some of them it was the first time they had seen snow so they were unsure at first but had a wonderful time.

"It was fun building snowmen together and for the kids to have their first snowball fight. The whole day was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone."
