Dancers from across Northamptonshire have earned themselves a place on the stage at Northampton’s Royal & Derngate theatre, and could be on their way to performing at a national festival.
A total of 13 groups have been selected by Dance4, an international centre for development of dance, to take part in the N.Dance event. Judges will then select groups to go to a regional heat in Nottingham, where they will compete for a spot in the national festival.
The event at Royal & Derngate on Saturday, January 24, will see the local groups demonstrate everything from Bollywood to ballet, street and lyrical dance styles.
These groups include: Resolution - The Grange Primary School, Perception Dance Company, KC Dance, So Dancers, Campion Contemporary Dance Company, Sylvie Essame Dance Company, Manor Dance Theatre, Patchwork Dance, Castle Youth Dance, Northampton College, Northampton School for Girls - Signature 1, Northampton School for Girls - Signature 2, and Quartet Northampton School for Girls Street Crew.
Tickets for the Royal & Derngate show at 7pm are priced at £9 (£7 conc) and are available online from www.royalandderngate.co.uk
