Northamptonshire Co-op store targeted by thieves for second time in a month

A Co-op store in Towcester has been targeted by thieves for the second time in a month.

The shop, in Watling Street, Towcester, was broken into in at about 1am on Monday, March 10. The Chron previously reported that the store was ramraided by thieves in the early hours of Tuesday, February 25.

On the latest occasion, the burglars broke into the shop at about 1am and tried to steal cigarettes, but left empty handed after being challenged by a security guard.

The burglars are described as white men, aged between 18 and 23 and wore dark-coloured hooded tops, with the hoods up.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who may have any information regarding it.
