Thousands of pounds have been raised for the Caring and Sharing Trust in Cogenhoe and a morning of celebration was held to mark the occasion.
The organisation, which supports people with learning disabilities, held the event where the singing was led by Councillor Phil Larrat who raised £9,772 for the trust during his year in office as chairman of the county council.
The morning of entertainment was led by trust director Caroline Scattergood and the cast of people with learning disabilities who attend each day. Among those joining in the congratulatory morning were MPs, Mayors, chairmen and business leaders from throughout the East Midlands.
