A Northamptonshire student has been charged with causing actual bodily harm (ABH) after she allegedly threw a glass at her boyfriend.

Aiser Fadia Hussein, who lives at the University of Northampton’s Park Campus, appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court last week after she was accused of throwing a glass at her then boyfriend during an argument, on February 8. The court heard the incident led to the man needing eight stitches to the back of his head. The court heard a witness statement presented by the prosection which said they heard Ms Hussein shouting at the boyfriend in a bedroom before he came out bleeding and shouting: “What have you done? Just get me an ambulance.”

The court heard Ms Hussein was also charged with affray on the same day.

Ms Hussein was granted bail on condition that she does not contact any of the witnesses and will appear in Crown Court later in the year.
