Northampton Town Football Club name nine charities to support next season

Northampton Town Football Club’s charitable foundation has appointed its official charities for the 2014/15 season.

The Cobblers has appointed the following nine charities for this season: Prostate Cancer UK, Northampton Samaritans, Random Acts of Kidney, Homestart East Northants, Autism Concern, Swain Benevolent Fund, Down Syndrome Group Northamptonshire, Spurgeons, Northampton Town Football in the Community Scheme.

Two or three of the Cobblers players will be appointed to each of the charity to make a minimum of two appearances a season. The charities will also get to use the badge for promotional purposes as well as access signed shirts, balls and tickets for promotional purposes.

There will be a bucket collection at Sixfields stadium at least once in this coming season and the club will make donations to the charities through its fundraising schemes.
