A spokeswoman for the school said: “Our youngest girls in reception actually wanted Mrs McCue, our catering manager added to the list as they had spent time with her in the kitchen recently and had such a good time.”

A special International Women’s Day assembly yesterday also saw pupils perform Adele’s Rolling in the Deep on cellos.

The science Department also hosted Inspiring Women, Inspiring Futures, an afternoon where they were joined by women professionals who work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
