Northampton school holds Remembrance service to pay tribute to fallen

Students and staff at Thomas Becket Catholic School in Northampton paused to remember those who had given their lives in conflict today.

Silk and paper poppies which the students had made, and the words of the poem In Flanders Fields, by John McCrae, made up their Tree of Hope display.

Chaplain Cath Worthington said: "Army and Air Force Cadets were among the students who gathered in the school’s chapel for the prayer time and proudly wore their uniforms in honour of those soldiers and airmen who lost their lives fighting for their country.

"Let us all remember those to whom we are indebted," she added.
