The Charles Bradlaugh in Earl Street, The Mounts will play host to a free 'decades' party on Saturday (December 9) where drinks will be sold at the same price when the pub opened in 1997.

The event starts at 9pm and owners will be doing a showcase of the upper-floor venue, before the decades disco starts.

A spokeswoman for Richardsons Events, the team that is coordinating the night, said: "We are celebrating the 20th birthday of one of the most eclectic and inclusive bars in Northampton. Join us to celebrate the past 20 years of The Charles Bradlaugh, with a night dancing through the decades.

"We are also delighted to be turning 20 with a brand new, more sophisticated look, having spent the past year refurbishing our much loved pub, also with a new addition of our dedicated upstairs events room. Come and take a look and help us celebrate. Cheers to the past 20 years."
