The Northampton Proactive Team seized six cars in the town as part of 'Operation Drive Insured' but while making a stop search of a car parked at a junction, police discovered a passenger blatantly rolling a spliff.
The Northampton Proactive Team are a selection of plainclothes police officers who specialise in arresting suspected dangerous criminals and drug dealers in the town.
On Twitter, the force said: "Driver thought it's okay to park on junction... while friend rolls a spliff! #noinsurance #stopsearch #cannabis #OpJourney."
The six cars were seized last week on Thursday, March 16.
They added: "One of six cars seized today for no insurance or no licence in Northampton #opdriveinsured. We drive unmarked cars, you won't see us coming."
In the same week, a man was arrested after smashing a car window and stealing items from the car as well as being in the possession of drugs.

This car was seized because the driver didn't have insurance or a license.
