Northampton-born pop star V V Brown will open the show for Jessie J at Alive At Delapre on Saturday, July 18.
The 31-year-old singer-songwriter has toured all over the world and written songs for artists including The Pussycat Dolls and Sugababes.
Since signing her first record deal in 2003, the singer has performed with Jools Holland, appeared on the David Letterman show, toured with Pink and graced the front cover of Vogue magazine.
Having sold more than half a million records worldwide, V V is also hoping to inspire up-and-coming musicians across the county by opening a music school, Rhythm Performing Arts Academy, in Northamptonshire later this year.
Councillor Brandon Eldred, cabinet member for community engagement, said: “Born and raised in Northampton, V V has had international acclaim for her music and we are delighted she will be opening for Jessie J in front of a home crowd at Alive At Delapre.”
Also performing at Alive At Delapre this year are McBusted on Friday, July 17 and Alfie Boe with his orchestra on Sunday, July 19.
