Northampton pensioner appears in court charged with historic sex offences

A pensioner from Northampton has appeared in court accused of historic sexual offences against four youngsters, including rape.

Clifford Brett, of Louise Road, Northampton, was arrested by police and appeared before Preston Crown Court for a preliminary hearing.

The 66-year-old is accused of offences in Lancashire dating back more than 15 years and the charges relate to offences against boys under the age of 16.

He is also charged with indecently assaulting two girls, also under the age of 16.

The case was adjourned to a later date.
