Naomi Wilkins, of Parklands, was one of three panto performers chosen to seek a real life ‘Prince Charming’ on the dating show, hosted by comedian and presenter Paul O’Grady.

Naomi, who is playing Tiger Lily in this year's Peter Pan performance at the Deco Theatre, will appear on Saturday's show dressed as Snow White upon the request of Channel 5 producers.

She said: “It was very flattering to be invited to take part in the show.

"They were looking for young performers appearing in panto who are single, and I fitted the bill, so after an audition I was chosen as one of the three girls for Prince Charming to choose from.

“It was a great experience, brilliant fun to be involved with, and I enjoyed every second of it – and not only that, Paul O’Grady is such a nice man, with absolutely no ‘airs and graces’, who made me feel really comfortable. We both share a love of dogs, and sat chatting about our own dogs.”

Naomi, who is performing in panto until December 30, is sworn to secrecy about the outcome of her Blind Date appearance, which goes on air this Saturday evening, at 8pm.
