A Northampton fundraising team showed they are anything but stick-in-the-muds when they took on a run with a difference for charity.

The team of four, from Tripod Crest, pushed themselves to the limit to complete Tough Mudder - a notoriously difficult obstacle race - and raise almost £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.

Managing director Darren Stokes, who took part alongside Jo Salmon, Jake Hankins and Tony Noble, said: “It was really hard, but amazing fun.

“Everyone was covered in mud, and totally exhausted by the end, but it was an unforgettable experience.

“It’s for a great cause so we’re calling on people to donate to the charity.”

Together they negotiated hill and rope climbs, zip wires, pools of water and tonnes of mud before crossing the finish line. To donate visit justgiving.com/Jo-Salmon3.
