Northampton MP appointed deputy leader of the House of Commons
Mr Ellis has been appointed deputy leader of the House of Commons which assists the leader in ensuring any legislation being put forward is ready to be presented to the House.
He said: "I am delighted to have ben asked to be part of Theresa May's government.

Hide Ad"To have the role of deputy leader is a huge honour and I look forward to very much helping the planning and supervision in the House of Commons of the busy legislation of the government.
"The last three weeks have been an absolute whirlwind - it has been non-stop, with breaking developments sometimes two or three times a day and it's been something of a rollercoaster.
"But we now have an extremely highly regarded and competent new leader and Prime Minister who I know very well," he added.
Mr Ellis was previously Mrs May's Parliamentary Private Secretary.
