Northampton man charged with two knifepoint robberies remanded in custody

A Northampton man charged in connection with two knifepoint robberies in Wellingborough has been remanded in custody.

Leroy Winston Robinson, 23, of Woodside Way, Kings Heath, Northampton appeared at Northampton Magistrates Court today (Thursday) charged with two allegations of robbery, an allegation of making threats to kill, an allegation of assault and two allegations of possessing an offensive weapon.

Following a 35 minute hearing, Robinson was told he would be remanded in custody until Wednesday June 18, when the case will be heard at Northampton Crown Court.

The charges relate to two alleged robberies in Wellingborough on Sunday May 25 and Tuesday this week.
