Members of the public are being asked to assess the outfits worn at the annual charity bike ride which raises money for Northampton’s Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

They are then being invited to vote online with the winner to be announced at the launch of this year’s ride being held at the home of Northampton Saints, Franklin’s Gardens.

Vying for the title are a cyclist who pedalled in a bright blue Mrs Bump costume, a gang of girls who brought a ray of sunshine to the autumn event by riding dressed as daffodils, Flintstones cartoon characters and all the way from Hogwarts - a magical Hagrid and Harry Potter.

Northampton Saints coach Jim Mallinder and some of the players will be on hand at the launch of the 14th year of the ride to present the fancy dress trophy, as well as those for the largest corporate team to take part, the most money raised by an individual and the Chairman’s Award, given in recognition of a special contribution to the event.

In addition, the total amount raised in sponsorship will be revealed, of which every penny will go to supporting the work of Cynthia Spencer Hospice.

Details of this year’s ride will also be announced at the winners presentation night.
