The unit celebrated 100 years of guiding with a Big Birthday Promise Challenge Party on exactly 100 years after the unit was officially registered.

Girls and leaders joined in renewing their Guide Promise, “to do their best” and “help other people”.

The challenge to Girlguiding members everywhere is to renew their promise on this date, to show the world how important it is to us.

During the year, the unit has enjoyed a number of centenary events, including a launch party in February, and an action packed ‘Big Birthday Bash’ summer camp.
