Northampton ghost hunters set for their TV break as part live five-day spook-fest

Two ghost hunters from Northampton set for their television debut this Halloween - leading a set of scared celebrities around one of Britain's spookiest hotels in Britain.

Boyhood pals Alex Duggan and Michael York, have been investigating spooky goings on in decaying buildings, ghostly graveyards and dank basements across the country, since forming UK Haunted in 2012.

Their investigations broadcast on Youtube, have seen them gather more than 100,000 followers online.

But next week the men who met at Weston Favell College are set for their television debut live on free-to-air channel W.

Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live will see a host of celebrities stay in a haunted hotel for five nights.

Alex and Michael will be part of a team of six paranormal investigators leading the famous faces on a series of terrifying tasks in the as-yet-unknown location.

Alex, said: “Halloween is our favourite time of the year and we’re so excited as this year we will be able to have Halloween for five nights.”

The live show will be hosted by Christine Lampard (Dancing On Ice, The One Show) Matt Richardson (Xtra Factor, Virgin Radio) and Jamie East (Thronecast, Big Brother’s Bit on The Side).

The series is set to start at 9pm on Thursday, October 27 and culminate with a finale on Halloween, October 31.

Celebrities will be voted to take part in live investigations, experiments and group events during the show.

Host Mrs Lampard said: “Five nights in the UK’s spookiest hotel with some great celebrity guests over Halloween - what could possibly go wrong?”

Matt Richardson will also host the companion show Celebrity Haunted Hotel Live: Do Not Disturb, at 6pm nightly from Friday, October 28, where viewers can catch up on the previous night’s eerie occurrences.

Mr Richardson, added: “I’m looking forward to checking in our guests and seeing how they cope with a stay in Britain’s spookiest hotel.”
