A fun day will be held on Sunday for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Hundreds of families are expected at the event called Summer SENDsation which will take place at Northampton College’s Booth Lane campus.
The event has been organised by the Northants Parent Forum Group and Northamptonshire County Council’s Local Offer department and will see families given the chance to experience a range of activities including demonstrations from assistive dogs, tai chi classes and specialist sports.
Ros Sturley, head of inclusion at Northampton College, said: “Summer SENDsation looks set to be a really impressive event with a range of activities and information for local families. It will give families an overview of the services on offer locally and how we can work together to help young people.”
Summer SENDsation will take place at Northampton College’s Booth Lane campus from noon to 4pm on Sunday, September 13.
