Northampton-based business BACA Workwear & Safety is celebrating its European expansion with the acquisition of a new company in France.
The safety and work wear company is expanding into Europe with the announcement it has acquired Actipro, a safety wear business in France, where BACA will now be able to distribute.
Actipro, which last year reported a €1.5million turnover, is now part of the BACA group of companies.
BACA’s European sales director Ben Calder said: “The drive and desire for BACA to continue its successful growth commercially continues to gain momentum. The acquisition of Actipro will increase our production by 10 per cent and will lead to the creation of new jobs here in the UK in the near future.
“The French market can now not only benefit from our Veltuff ranges but also our work wear personalisation services and garment branding. This latest development is the next step in our long term business plan to expand throughout Europe.”
The BACA group continues to expand its ranges and services specialising in providing pioneering, protective products via Veltuff, its comprehensive collection of high performance, safety solutions including safety clothing, footwear, PPE equipment and gloves. BACA is the UK’s sole suppliers of the premium protective range.
