The presents will be distributed to children cared for by the charity this Christmas. Gifts can be left at Access Self Storage at Tollgate Way, Northampton, until they are given to the charity on December 12.

Jeanette Walsh, of the NCCT, said: “It’s a wonderful start to the Christmas season to know that Access Self Storage Northampton has chosen our charity to receive gifts collected by the store. These donations by families, individuals and businesses in our community give a huge boost to children who depend on us at this time of year."

Access Self Storage Northampton manager Sohail Hanif said: “Last year, we collected sackfuls of donations and this year we’ve received some lovely gifts from the generous people of Northampton, but if we can collect even more in the next few weeks, we can help even more children who need all the cheer they can get this Christmas."

People have until Saturday December 10 to drop off donations, after which they will be wrapped and presented to the charity on Monday December 12.
