An artist from the University of Northampton has completed a project in which he did not look at his own reflection for 16 months.

Justin Sanderson has uploaded a clip on to Youtube of his reaction when he saw his reflection in a mirror for the first time since November 2014.

The project called Void___Self, is currently being displayed at the NN gallery in Guildhall Road.

To ensure he didn’t see his own reflection Mr Sanderson created balaclavas to cover his face when taking photographs of himself.

Other art projects he has completed include wearing a suit made from curtains every day for a year and altering his sleeping pattern to make a day last 28 hours.

This weekend, (February 13 and 14), Mr Sanderson will run a workshop at NN gallery teaching people about aspects surrounding performance.
