NorPIP charity bike ride at Silverstone to be opened by Northampton Saints Tom Wood

Northampton Saints Rugby Star, Tom Wood, is set to open the NorPIP charity Bike ride, raising money for the Northamptonshire Parent-Infant Partnership at Silverstone tomorrow, Friday.

The bike ride, which is taking place on the world-famous Silverstone British Grand Prix Circuit, will see hundreds of cyclists aged seven and above, take to the track to raise money for the Northamptonshire charity.

“We are delighted Tom Wood is coming to start the bike ride and wish the hundreds of cyclists well on their ride around the track” said Louise Danielczuk, NorPIP’s fund-raising co-ordinator.

Bike Ride tickets are still available via the event website: http://norpipbikeride.wix.com/2016 with tickets just £20 for an adult, £7 for a child, plus fantastic group and family package offers.

“We are excited that this year, families, friends and pro cyclists alike can ride the full 3.66 mile track as many times as they like from 5:30pm until the sun goes down and will be sent on their way by a fantastic local celebrity,” said Louise.

There will also be a family fun day held from 3pm until 7pm on the the day in the International Wing overlooking the track, with live music, a Supercar display, a great selection of food and drink, family games and activities all day long. There will also be a Children’s Zone with bouncy castle, face-painting, Easter Egg Hunt, giant games, and much, much more. Trek Bicycle MK will also be exhibiting at the event.

Other activities will include the NorPIP Raffle and Silent Auction with lots of fantastic prizes to be won.
