Mr O’Neill said there was no sign of forced entry or a disturbance in the flat. Mr Cadd’s body did not have any injuries.

A post-mortem was unable to establish the cause of his death.

Dionne Boyes, Mr Cadd’s sister, said he was a “lovely, funny, intelligent, warm and caring” person who was missed greatly by his family.

County coroner Anne Pember recorded an open verdict in the case.

Mrs Pember said: “We are unable to say how Mr Cadd died. I do not think there is anything suspicious surrounding his death.”
