“Accompanying Alison on this magical evening of music and song were the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra, hard to believe they are amateurs, under its conductor Michael Lloyd, whose impish humour and sense of fun shone through.

“There are so many people to thank for making this musical event possible from Alison, Michael, BPO and John Griff who all gave their time free of charge, to the sponsors Michael Jones Jeweller, volunteers, advertiser’s and loads, loads more, it certainly was a night to remember.

“One of our trustees said it really was one of the best nights ever for Cynthia Spencer Hospice - it was incredible”.

The profits are still being counted and details of how much was raised will be given at a later date.
