New '˜street food' restaurant to bring '˜culture of Shoreditch' to Northampton
Foodies Rocks will move into the premises vacated by Pizza Derngate opposite the Royal and Derngate theatre this summer and construction is now under way.
The restaurant and bar aims to fit in well with the Cultural Quarter of the town, offering Chinese, American, German, Taiwanese, Mexican and Vegan cuisine.

Hide AdOwner Alex Putjatins said the concept is inspired by venues in the East End of London.
He said: “The idea has a personal connection for me.
I am from Shoreditch and I’d like to bring the culture of Shoreditch, London to Northampton.”
The two-storey venue is looking to include table football and an “art gallery” on the bottom floor with the emphasis on “graffiti” art work.
Customers will be able to have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the restaurant as well as evening drinks, when a craft beer menu will be available.
Foodies Rocks will also provide Northampton with up to 15 jobs.
The venue will be open from 8am until midnight, Sunday to Thursday and extended hours until 1.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
