New Burger King restaurant in Northampton town centre set to open next week

A new Burger King restaurant will open in Northampton town centre on Monday, it has been announced.

The American fast food chain is opening a new outlet in the site of the former Eastgate pub in Abington Street.

The new restaurant will be officially opened by Northampton North MP Michael Ellis at 9.30am.

The 136-seater restaurant will create approximately 30 new jobs in the town.

Sukhi Panesar, Director of Sipp Holdings, the company that runs the Burger King in the Market Square and will also run the new outlet, said, “We are thrilled to be opening a BURGER KING® restaurant in Eastgate.
