New adult learning courses launched by Northamptonshire County Council

Northamptonshire County Council is inviting people to sign up for one of the adult learning courses on offer for the new summer term.

If you were inspired by BBC1’s The Great British Bake Off, sign up for the Gravity Defying Cake class, or prepare for holiday season with the Get Trim for Summer cookery course.

Make the most of the warmer weather with a cycling or wakeboarding course, or give your garden a makeover with some expert tuition on An Introduction to Garden Design.

The summer term launches on Monday April 13 and courses take place across Northamptonshire.

Other courses available this summer include:

• Prom flowers

• Perfect paella

• Spanish holiday language

• Basic bridal hair

• Taking better pictures (advanced)

• Swimming – parent and child

• Sketching out of doors

• Spice up your salads

Cllr Matt Golby, county council cabinet member for learning, skills and education, said: “As the lighter nights draw in, this is the ideal time to make the most of your evenings and weekends by enrolling on one of our fantastic new summer courses.

“From sports and languages to crafts and DIY, there is sure to be a class to suit all interests and skill levels, so I’d encourage anyone who’d like to broaden their horizons to browse our summer brochure online.”
