New £45,000 play area to open in St Crispin’s Park in Northampton

This week a new world of adventure will open up for children in St Crispin’s as an exciting new play area is opened.

On Friday 25 July, Northampton Borough Council in partnership with St Crispin’s Parish Council, is set to unveil a brand new play area in St Crispin’s Park.

The £45,000 community play area has been funded through agreements made with the developers of the St Crispin’s development.

Featuring equipment for ages 3+ there are different swings, slides and a mix of traditional and modern play equipment to excite young minds.

Councillor Mike Hallam, Northampton Borough Council’s cabinet member for environment said: “Parks and play areas are an important part of helping to create a community, as well as providing a safe and interesting area for the next generation to enjoy.

“St Crispin’s Park is quickly becoming a real asset to local people as a place to play and relax. The new play area is another exciting addition that will give families a place to enjoy.”

St Crispin’s Park and its new play area is located off St Crispin’s Drive.
