MURDER CHARGE: Northampton woman died as a result of a head injury, post mortem reveals

A woman who was found dead at a property in Duston, Northampton, suffered a fatal head injury, a post mortem examination has confirmed.

A Northamptonshire Police spokeswoman said today that a forensic examination of the body of Sandra Thomas, aged 57, had been carried out at Leicester Royal Infirmary yesterday. (Tuesday)

Ms Thomas was found dead at a property in Whernside Way, at 2am on Tuesday.

David Love, aged 32, of Overslade Close, Northampton, has been charged with her murder and appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning. He was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Northampton Crown Court later this week.
