Movie makers are calling on Northampton residents to star in 90 minute horror film

Film production company, who are set to shoot first full-length horror movie next year, are calling on Northampton residents to join in the spotlight.

Up a Notch Productions of Wellingborough Road have revealed plans to film a 90-minute picture, hauntingly called, The Witch’s Doll, which will be shot across Northampton next February.

The company, who have a “passion for lower budget horror films” told the Chronicle & Echo that the production is set to cost up to £5000.

Lawrence Fowler of Up a Notch Productions said: “As the project is quickly building momentum, we are keen to get the word out to people in Northampton who may be interested in joining the project in front or behind the camera.”

The company has been established for two years and have made a number of short films that have been shown at the infamous Cannes Film Festival.

Mr Fowler adds: “As a company, we love watching horror feature length films, we have been developing the skills needed to make this film for a long time.

“As a company, we balance corporate and industry style productions as well as fictional and entertainment.”
