Mounts Fire Station open to the Northampton public

The Mounts fire station will welcome the public to an open day today (Saturday) in aid of Children’s Burn’s Trust.

The fire station will host a number of events and stalls from 11am-4.30pm to raise money for the children’s charity, which wants to raise awareness, prevention, support and rehabilitation for children with severe burns.

The charity will work alongside firefighters to advise children and the public on how to prevent accidents occurring in the community.

Food will be available with a barbecue and the Royal Gurkha curry kitchen will be open throughout the day.

The open day will include children’s entertainment including bouncy castles, live reptile and a rope rescue display by the firefighters. A programme can be bought on the day for £1 for a full list of events.

Traditional fete games will also be running throughout the day, including prizes.
