Motorists warned of overnight closures for roundabout revamp in Northampton

More overnight road closures will be in place next week as part of the junction work near Wootton Hall Park in Northampton.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire County Council said the £2.7 million in Mereway was progressing well.

“The new signalised gyratory will help improve traffic safety and vehicle flow on the town’s ring-road, including access to the Wootton Hall site.

“As the project progresses, a series of weekend and overnight road closures is needed so resurfacing work can take place,” he added.

The closures will be as follows:

* 8pm on Tuesday, March 29 to 6am on Wednesday, March 30 – Queen Eleanor roundabout to Tesco supermarket. Westbound

* 8pm on Friday, April 8 to 6am on Saturday, April 9 - Queen Eleanor roundabout to Tesco supermarket. Both directions, east and west.
