Police are warning motorists to expect delays in Northamptonshire later today because of a large funeral taking place in Broughton and at Kettering Crematorium.
A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said: “There will be a number of temporary road closures in and around Kettering later this morning and lunchtime to manage the large amount of vehicles expected to attend a funeral in the town.
“About 500 vehicles are expected to leave Broughton at about 11am and travel to London Road, Kettering, via Northampton Road, for a church service.
“The cortege will then leave the church at about 12.30pm and travel to the Crematorium in Rothwell Road.
“Temporary road closures will be in place while the funeral party travels to the church and Crematorium to manage any congestion the large amount of traffic is likely to cause.”
