Motorist denies causing death of Northampton jogger by careless driving
Antony Monk, of Shelleycotes Road, Brixworth, appeared at Northampton Crown Court this morning charged with causing the death of runner Mary Davies, aged 61, by driving without due care and attention.
Ms Davies, of Little Billing, Northampton, died after she was involved in a collision with a blue Vauxhall Astra being driven by Monk on the A508 between Boughton and Pitsford at about 8.30pm on April 15 last year.

Hide AdWearing a suit and speaking only to confirm his name, Monk entered a not guilty plea to the charge today.
However a trial date could not be set until June 2017.
Speaking at the hearing judge Rupert Mayo, said: “I’m afraid this is a case that will not be heard until next June, Such is the backlog of the work there is to deal with.
“The jury will rely on hearing the evidence of experts so we will also need to get an expert’s report.”
